This lesson could be used to emphasize writing, team building, or used as an activity when a substitute is present.
Read all directions before starting:
You will work in teams of two. If there is an odd number of students in the class, a team of three will be used.
Problem: Your team has been hired to design and build a_________, for the year 2100.
Let your imagination explore the possibilities of what the life-style will be like then.
Think about:
Problem #1 Design and sketch this ______________ so we have an idea of what it looks like,
Problem #2 Invent a company name that reflects the product you are designing/building.
Problem #3 Make an original slogan for your product. (EXAMPLE: It takes a licken & keeps on ticken*….Timex Watch.)
Problem #4 Make a logo for your letterhead/stationary or a sign for the front of your office building/factory.
Problem #5 In detail, write the owner’s manual for this product. (Example: What it will do: what it won’t do: how to use it: how to turn it on/off etc. Nothing is to insignificant not to include.
Problem #6 Make a written sales ad for this item. How will you sell this product? (Will there be a TV or radio in the future?
Problem #7 25 Points are possible for neatness, legibility, creativity.
